Current and recent YPI projects in the U.S. include: YPI has also successfully worked in collaboration with: (1) the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention of the U.S. Department of Justice, to develop training and technical assistance initiatives and to foster community-wide delinquency prevention programs; (2) the Empire Justice Center, to monitor the impact of welfare reform on at-risk families in New York State and to develop the Child Care Policy and Law Center; (3) the New York State Child Care Coordinating Council, to formulate a strategy to fully fund a public advocacy unit to implement the goals for the statewide "Child Care that Works Campaign"; and (4) the Westchester Institute for Human Services Research, to field test and evaluate a preschool special education program and services evaluation instrument.
